Take a breath
In the mad and chaotic run up to Christmas, sometimes we forget what the whole thing is about.
We rush from shop to shop, ticking off the presents as we buy them…………..over spending on our credit cards and knowing we’ll have to ‘pay’ for the spending both with money and emotion in the New Year.
We ignore that little voice of inner guidence in our heads that is screaming at us to STOP!
What would happen if we did STOP?
If for once we walked slowly. If for once we focused on breathing. If for once we noticed the miriad of things going on around us………………..would our world collapse?
Just a thought……………maybe we can consciously focus on the little things on the runup to Christmas.
Maybe we can look for the smile on a child’s face. Maybe we can listen as friends laugh together. Maybe we can smell the ‘heat’ in the air as summer blooms around us (of course in the Northern hemisphere, you will smell the fresh chill of winter) and maybe we can be thankful for the joy that surrounds us that often we simply ignore, or don’t notice.
Enjoy the anticipation of the coming festivities and remember how much you have achieved during the year.
Have a good one!
