The reason for this is that the Australian Altruism Foundation is a Not For Profit organisation and therefore in order to cover costs for conducting the awards, has to make up the short fall between donations & fundraising income somehow. I do think that $25 is a reasonable investment, when you consider that to enter any of the Writers Awards it costs far more than this as well as nominating for any art prizes, business and professional award programs. I must declare also, I have no pecunary interest in promoting the awards.........I just think we should be acknowledging creative leaders and this seems to me a most appropriate way to do it.
